GaLLipoLI
It was the Gallipoli Campaign cost the Allies 141,113 killed and wounded and the Turks 195,000. Gallipoli proved to be the Turks' greatest victory of the war That conquered all. At the time - World War I, the Great War, saw the greatest number of casualties the world had ever seen. The total number of casualties in World War I, both military and civilian, was about 37 million: 16 million deaths and 21 million wounded. The total number of deaths includes 9.7 million military personnel and about 6.8 million civilians. The Entente Powers(also known as the Allies) lost about 5.7 million soldiers while the Central Powers lost about 4 million. I think that what caused was the great number of casualties was duty, destiny, catastrophe, courage, rage, redemption, & a trump for human spirits.
