Lets admit we were wrong!

               No, I don’t think countries should leave pieces of their history out, especially if its in a negative way. When they document there stories into our text books or any type of document about our history everything should be filled in, even the smallest pieces. I would have more respect for our history if we weren’t educated on facts that are not even complete. Yes maybe some of our history doesn’t have a good point of view but if we show the world how we made a couple of mistakes and then show them the good things we did, they will see how we got up and fought for was right. I think that the people that write the documentaries think its better to hide the history we failed at but I think that by failing it made us better and everyone should know that. I feel that history happends for a reason and good or bad, people should know about it. So I think that by keeping it hidden its not a good way to go. We should just come out with all the truth about our history and just admit we fell a couple of times but were able to get back up.

Lies,Lies & MORE Lies

     Yes, I think we should change the way younger students are taught about the history of the Unites States for many reasons. I think students starting from elementary school should be taught the truth and only the truth. They have the right to know what is real and what is not from our history. We were all lied to at some point learning about history and I don’t appreciate learning the truth at such a late time in my life. Some younger children might find history a bit harsh but we can tell them the truth without making them feel uncomfortable or being lied to. Teachers in my opinion might lie to younger student just to protect them from the harsh truth or just because they don’t know the truth them selves since they have been lied to as kids also. Since we all have been lied to, we technically haven’t learned anything about history which makes us as uneducated as the younger kids learning. I think we should change the way there are thought, that way they wont come to find out later in life they have been learning all the wrong material all this years. Over all I think teacher should start changing the way they teach Unites Sates history to younger kids cause they have the right to know the truth as we know it ourselves.
