weekly #1

I agree with the blogging process for many reasons. Blogging is putting all your knowledge together and putting your opinion with it. I like this because it gives me a chance to express my self with the topics we are learning about and I find it very interspersing. I like blogging so much better than writing it down on paper because usually writing assignments  we just have to go along with the topic but with blogging we get to express our thoughts about this.

blogs blogs blogs :)

I liked blogging better than writing in a paper because its way faster than actually writing everything by hand. I can easily get the information and apply it right in the spot. We had many topics to choose from and that helped me in a way that I could pick a topic that would bore me. It made it easier because most of the time I’m in the computer so I would just get right to my homework. Writing in pen and paper is very boring and I get annoyed easily.

favoritee :)

The blog topic that was my favorite from this first quarter would have to be the 6 word story we had to write because it made me think how to write a full story with only 6 words. I found it very interesting and liked it a lot :)

- Ellis Island

After exploring the primary documentary photographs from Ellis Island website, the feelings that the immigrants felt wile coming to the united states at the turn of the century must have been were very sad and lost in hope. You can tell in their eyes that the only thing they wanted was to be happy and be able to sustain there family. Things must have had been very hard for them around that time and they were lost for help. They were many people wanting help just wanting to live a life that they had imagined it. It was very sad to see the pictures and just imagine all the things they had to go through. The experiences that they face must of not had been easy, but they had to fight till the end and keep their head up high.

'Song of the Shirt'

As workers often worked in the factory they created music that served as a form of protest and a way to get them through the long hours of the workday. After reading the lyrics to “song of the shirt” it describes the life that textile factory workers had been through and have felt. They have been working really hard and they are tiered but they have to keep on working. They will keep on working till the night. They maybe tiered but they will have to keep on working. They are feeling a lot of pain but they have to do it. They feel like they are going to die but at the end of the day they need the money to be able to support their families.
